Andy Lee is a Popular American Football punter and player for the Arizona Cardinals of the National Football League (NFL). He was drafted in the 6th round of the 2004 NFL Draft by San Francisco. Andy was also played for the Cleveland Browns as well as the Carolina Panthers.
Childhood & Early Life
Andy was born in 1982, in the South Carolina town of Westminster. He graduated from Westminster’s West-Oak High School, lettering in football, baseball, and basketball. Furthermore, Andy was named All-Conference twice in basketball and helped lead the baseball team to a district title and the state playoff.
Career
Following a successful collegiate career, Andy was selected by the San Francisco 49ers in the sixth round of the NFL Draft, with the 188th overall pick. He was the Only active player drafted in the 2004 NFL draft.
In the 2004 season, Andy made a fourth-longest in San Francisco 49ers history with his 81-yards in NFL. in the 2005 season, he set a career-high with 107 punts including 15 punts downed inside the 20. Andy’s ratio of touchback-to-punts was the best for any San Francisco 49ers punters since 1970.
In the 2006 season, Andy registered 81 punts with 22 punts dropped inside the 20-yard line and a net average of 36.8. Furthermore, he finished seventh in NFL with 36.8 net yards while his 44.8 gross average marked the team’s highest since Tommy Davis averaged 45.6 in 1964.
