Austin Cindric, born in 1998, Columbus Ohio is a professional auto racing driver competing in NASCAR national series. He is one of the youngest NASCAR drivers who have shown great potential when it comes to racing. The young driver drivers Ford Mustang #02 for Team Penske. Taking the ride from Brad Keselowski who shifted founded his own Racing team and dropped the Penske car.
He brings his tantalizing talent to the 2022 NASCAR Cup Series season after competing in NASCAR Xfinity for four seasons. He made his debut in the Cup Series on 20th February 2022 in Daytona 500 at the Daytona International Speedway.
The Penske driver did not only make his debut but he also made history after winning the most coveted race, Daytona 500 in his debut. He managed to hold veteran driver Bubba Wallace and took the day in a close margin though it was not that closest it was that close.

Career
Austin began racing at a very young age racing in different races such as sports cars, the Road to Indy ladder, and Global RallyCross Championship. The rookie driver joined NASCAR in 2015 and just like many other NASCAR drivers, he began with NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.
Being one brightest upcoming drivers he managed to finish third in that series. Two years later after making his debut in the Truck Series, he was promoted to NASCAR Xfinity Series in 2017.
Xfinity Series
He made his Xfinity Series debut at Road America, driving Ford Mustang #22 for Team Penske. Cindric earned his first pole in the 14th race, however despite winning the pole he made a pullback and he finished in 11th place. In 2018, he competed in a full Xfinity Series season where he had worked more on his skills and he showed amazing performance that season.
In 2018, he raced for two different organizations and three racing teams. With team Roush Fenway he was driving No. 60 he made ninth -place. Austin also drove Ford Mustang #12 for Team Penske for eight races and Ford Mustang #22 for the same team driving for 16 races.
The rising driver won his first race in the Xfinity series in 2019 winning back-to-back races at the mid-season. His first victory came at the Watkins Glen International road course. Being his second full season, he advanced to the round of eight during the 2019 Xfinity Series Playoffs and finished in the final series standings.
2020 Championship
The 2020 Xfinity Series was one of his best seasons despite the strike of a world pandemic, Covid-19. It was a season he recorded his first Championship with the Ford Mustang #22 for Team Penski after an incredible performance. Following his outstanding performances, he became the second driver in the history of the Xfinity Series to win 5/6 races.
He came with the same winning spirit in the 2021 season winning the season-opener race at the Daytona International Speedway. His win marked the first win for Team Penske to ever win in the Daytona Speedway in the Xfinity Series. Though it was a tough season since he was defending his 2020 championship, he managed to produce series-high 13 season stage wins. Team Penske won the owner’s championship and finished in second place in the Driver’s title standings.
Cup Series Season
After four successful seasons in the Xfinity series, he climbed a career ladder to the Cup Series Season in 2022. He made his Cup Series on 20th February 2022, driving Ford Mustang #02 for Team Penske. Initially, the ride raced with Brad Kalewoski when he was still racing with Team Penske before moving to Roush Fenway.
His debut came in one of the most desired races in the history of NASCAR, the Daytona 500. The glamorous event was held at the Iconic Daytona International Speedway. The young driver made history after 200 laps around the speedway after he proved to the world he was worth being in the tracks. His first win in the Cup Series was one of the important race Daytona 500. Ford #2 driver held Bubba Wallace was almost touching the finishing line and he stepped at it before him. The 2022 season will be his first full season in the Cup Series.
