Bukayo Saka is a complete product of Arsenal FC having joined the club in 2008 at the age of 7 but went on to make his professional debut for the club in 2018 at the of 17 years. Currently, the Ealing native is arguably one of the most promising young footballers in the world with a well-document record on the field and off the field. Saka plays as a winger but can also be deployed as a left-back or midfielder for both Arsenal and England National Team.
Since his professional debut, Saka has quickly established himself as a key player playing a crucial part in the team’s successful ventures. His breakthrough to Arsenal’s first eleven was in the 2019-20 season where he helped the club win the FA Cup despite being an unused substitute in the finals game against Chelsea.
The 2020-21 and 2021-22 seasons have been his best seasons ever earning back-to-back Arsenal’s player of the season award. Clinching the award twice in a row, Saka became the for first Arsenal player to do so since his idol, Thiery Henry in 2003 and 2004. On top of that, he completed the 2021-22 season as the club’s top scorer, earning the Premier League Player of the Season, Premier League Young Player of the Season, and PFA Young Player of the Year.
Despite the impressive record and performance, Bukayo Saka is still on the list of the lowest earners at the Emirate’s camp. His current contract is set to expire in 2024, and the big question is, will Arsenal give a better offer or will he decide to move like Sadio Mane?
