Bruno Fernandes is a Portuguese football star who currently plays for Manchester United, a Premiere league Club as an attacking midfielder. Bruno spent five years of his career in Italy after which he returned to his country and signed with Sporting CP in 2017. With Sporting CP he was named as the captain of the club. Professional career
His professional career begun At Novara Calcio, an Italian club playing in Serie B. He joined the team on 27 August 2012. Since he was still young with fewer skills, he joined as a youth player. His efforts in the youth team led to his promotion to the first team after few weeks. He played more than half of the league games during the 2012-13 season.
Move to Udinese
After playing for a Serie B club for one season, in the summer of 2013, he decided to join Udinese, a Serie A club in a co-ownership deal. He made his first debut for the club on 3rd November against Inter Milan in a 0-3 defeat. One month later he scored his first goal for the club in a 3-3 draw against SSC Napoli.
Sampdoria
Bruno moved to U.C Sampdoria on 16th August 2016 after playing for Udinese for three years. However, his move to Sampdoria was on loan with an option of being signed permanently. He made his first debut for Sampdoria on 28th August, 12 days after his arrival. In his first debut, he only played for six minutes against Atalanta BC. Moving to Sporting CP
Bruno returned to Portugal and joined Sporting CP on June 27th, 2017. With Sporting CP he signed a five-year contract with a transfer fee worth €8.5 million-plus bonuses. After his debut, he scored four goals in his first five Primeira Liga games. He made his first appearance in the UEFA Champions League was on 12th September and scored in the 43rd minute in a 3-2 win against Olympiacos.
On 6th July 2018, he was named as the Primeira Liga Player of the year, despite his team finishing in third place. On 10th July 2018, he signed a five-year contract with a €100 million release clause. However, he had initially planned to leave the club after the club’s president Bruno de Carvalho. Fernandes moved to Manchester United on 29 January 2020, with a transfer fee worth €80 million (£67.6 million) according to reports.
