Gabriel Martinelli, born Gabriel Teodoro Martinelli Silva is a professional talented footballer from Brazil who plays as a forward for Arsenal FC and Brazil national team. Gabriel Martinelli was born and raised in one of the most popular cities in Brazil, Guarulhos. His career kicked off at the age of ten years in 2010, playing for Corinthians’ futsal team. Five years later he had impressive progress that attracted the attention of Ituano, one of the biggest teams in Brazil.
This was after he had numerous trials at Manchester United and Barcelona. In 2017, Martinelli signed his first professional contract with Ituano which was supposed to expire in October 2022.
He went on and made his professional debut the following year on March 17th, he played for the Ituano for only one season. Despite having limited playtime, he was able to establish his name and Arsenal noticed his capability. After 17 appearances and 6 goals in the 2019-19 season, Martinelli decided to move to London joining the Gunner in 2019.

Move to Arsenal
Following a successful stint at Ituano, on July 2nd, 2019, Martinelli signed a long-term contract with the Premier League club Arsenal at a reported fee of £6 million. The official agreement, when arrived at the Gunners, was to play for the reserve team and the academy in his first season and then be promoted to the first team.
However, following his incredible performance, Martinelli made his senior debut the following month on the 11th of August coming in on the 84th. The following month he went on to make his boss Unai Emery proud after he scored a brace in his competitive debut against Nottingham Forest.
Following his successful debut in October of 2019, he made his second start where he netted another brace that earned him more playtime. That month turned out to be one of his best as he was named the Player of the Month award for the month of October.
In January 2020, he scored against Chelsea becoming the first teenager to hit a two-figure level since Nicolas Anelka. Before the end of the 2020 season, Martinelli signed a four-year contract with a one-year extension option. Apart from his impressive performance, he is also a disciplined player, he has only received a red-card only once.

International Career
As a Brazilian native, he plays for the Brazilian Nationa team. He began by playing for the Under-23 side making his debut in 2019 before being called for the senior team in 2022.
The young talented player made his debut for the senior team in the just concluded 2022 World Cup Qualifiers and he will also be representing his country at the upcoming World Cup in Qatar.
