Jordin Canada is an American basketball star, playing for the Los Angeles Sparks of the Women’s Basketball Association (WNBA). The Seattle Storm selected her with the 5th overall pick in the 2018 WNBA draft. She is well known for her playmaking, speed, and crossover skills.

Career

Jordin started her career at Westwood, attaining 15-points, 10-rebounds double-double in her first career game. In the 2014-15 season, she started 30 games, reaching double figures 25 times leading the Bruins in assists per game. After missing the NCAA Tournament, the Bruins earned a bid to the 2015 WNIT, UCLA won the tournament. She scored a career-high 31 points in a 62-60 win in the final over West Virginia. Furthermore, she earned tournament MVP honors and was named Pac-12 Freshman of the Year.

In her sophomore year she started 34 games and finished second in the Pac-12 in assists at 5.7 per game and steals per game at 2.3, Jordin also led UCLA in minutes. She made the 2016 NCAA Tournament as a No. 3 seed as well as advanced to the Sweet Sixteen for the first time since 1999.

Jordin was named All-Pac-12 as well as earned a spot on the Pac-12 All-Defensive team and was an AP All-American honorable mention. As a junior, she attainted her first career triple-double with 11 points, 12 assists, and 10 rebounds over Southern.
