Kayla McBride is an American Basketball Star, who currently plays for the Minnesota Lynx of the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) as well as Fenerbahce of the Turkish Super League (KBSL). The San Antonio Stars drafted Kayla in the 2014 WNBA draft. She used to play Shooting guard for Notre Dame and led the Fighting Irish to four consecutive Final Fours and three NCAA championship debuts.
Career
Kayla started her career at Villa Maria Academy in Erie Pennsylvania. She was a three-year starter as well as a four-year letter winner at Villa Maria under the head coach Scott Dibble. In 2019, Kayla was voted into the 2019 WNBA All-Star Game by making her fourth all-star appearance. In 2021, Kayla signed with the Minnesota Lynx after becoming an unrestricted free agent.
Overseas
In the 2014-15 off-season, Kayla played for Uniqa Sopron. She was also played in Russia for Nadezhda Orenburg in the 2015-16 off-season. In 2016-17 Kayla was confirmed to play in Turkey for Yakin Dogu Universitesi. Kayla resigned from Yakin Dogu Universitesi for the 2017-18 off-season. She was also signed with UMMC Ekaterinburg of the Russia League for the 2018-19 off-season.
