After having a successful amateur career and winning several junior tournament including the Warrnambool Club Championship while he was 13 years playing in the same group as his father. In addition, prior to going professional he won the 2001 Victorian Masters, the South Australian Junior Master and Victorian Boys Champion.
In 2005 he decided to go professional a the age of 22, playing the Von Nida Tour in 2006. 2006 he managed to win two tournaments and topping the order of merit. As a resultof his hard work and dedication in 2007 he played his rookie season on the Nationalwide Tour however being his first time he finished 92nd on the money list. In 2008, ghe perfected his skills and won the maiden title on the Nationalwide Tour at the WNB Golf Classic.
After finishing in the 92nd place in the 2007 money list, in 2009 he pulled his socks and finished in the 19th place on the money list earning his PGA Tour card for the 2009 season. In addition, in 2009, he was voted in as the Rookie of the Year after he recorded three top-10 finishes behind Tiger Woods at the BMW Championship. In 2020, he won the Farmers Insurance Open for his fifth PGA Tour title. After that he won the Zurich Classic of New Orleans.
