NASCAR Atlanta Race Result | Quaker State 400 at Atlanta Motor Speedway

NASCAR Atlanta Race Result; NASCAR has just wrapped up the Quaker State 400 at the newly reconfigured 1.54-mile Atlanta Motor Speedway. This is the first time NASCAR has revisited a track this season and recorded two different winners in the same tracks and season.

NASCAR raced at the Atlanta Motor Speedway for the first time in March this year where William Byron carried the trophy home. However, for today’s race, Chase Elliot just walked home with his third win of the season, becoming the first driver to record three wins this season.

Ross Chastain finished as runner-up in the 260-laps event. The event had 36 chartered drivers on board with each driver trying to take the win home. Chase Elliot and Ross Chastain were among the fastest drivers in this event as they began dominating the race in stage one.

William Byron was the race defending winner but he ended up with another disappointing weekend despite having a good run in stages one and two and even finishing in the top ten of stage two.

The No.24 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 was among the cars collected in the messy crash with 91 laps to go. Bubba Wallace, Kyle Larson, and other drivers were also caught up in the mess. Bubba Wallace and Kyle Larson were able to come out of the mess strong finishing in the top fifteen. Byron experienced severe damages and ended up posting a 30th finish.

Compared to the last event in March, this event wasn’t that aggressive, and only one huge crash was witnessed and ended with only 9 cautions compared to the Folds of Honor 500 which ended up with 11 caution and numerous terrifying crashes.

Corey LaJoie seemed to have a solid day and he had the checkered flag on his sight before Elliot cleared him off sending him to the wall with one to go. LaJoie had worked his way up and he was really trying to fight for his first win but things turned messy in the last minute and ended the race in position 21.
