Rachel Jarry is an Australian basketball star and player for the Southside Flyers of the Women’s National Basketball League (WNBL). She started her basketball career at the early age of five as a youngster in national competitions. Jarry was drafted by the WNBA’s Atlanta Dream in 2011, she was then traded on the same day to the Lynx. Moreover, She used to play the Dandenong Rangers the Australian Institute of Sport as well as the Melbourne Boomers.

Career
As we mentioned earlier Jarry started her career at the age of five years, she currently trains five days a week and three days at the gym doing weight training. She represented Victoria in national competitions from 2006-09, including the 2006 Australian under-16 national championships as well as for the Victoria Metro at the 2007 & 2008 Australian Under-18 national championships. Jarry was a youngster member of her team, representing Victoria in their gold medal win at the Australian under-20 national championships in 2009.

The guard or forward player Jarry was listed by Dandenong Ranger as a rookie for the WNBL team. She was offered an AIS scholarship in November 2007. In January 2008 she moved to Canberra to join the team, In her debut WNBL season for AIS, she managed to average 11.1 points per game, and 5.5 rebounds per game as well as shot 45.6 percent from the floor in 20 games. Jarry joined the reigning runner-up Bulleen Boomers after her graduation from the institute. In her first season with the Boomers, she averaged 10.5 points and 5.9 rebounds off the bench in all 24 games. She was integral to the Boomers’ first championship in franchise history.
In 2011, the Atlanta Dream drafted Jarry as the 18th overall pick. She was traded to the Minnesota Lynx on draft day. Jarry signed a contract with Lynx on February 11, 2013. she earned a roster spot as a guard for the defending Western Conference champions where she made her WNBA debut in a victory against the Connecticut Sun.
