Trayvon Jaquez Bromell born in 1995, is an American sprinter and a professional track and field athlete. Following his track record of 9.76 seconds in the 100m places him as the 6th fastest man in the world.
As a junior athlete, he became the first junior to break the 10-second barrier in the 100 meters race recording 9.97seconds. 2016 was a great year for him as he became the 2016 world indoor 60m champion. It was also the year he achieved his dream by participating in the 2016 Summer Olympics.
Away from being an athlete, he is also a brand ambassador of New Balance one of the biggest sports footwear in America.

Bromel grew up in a family of athletes since both of his parents were athletes. While growing up his dream was to go to Olympics, however, he had no idea how he get there.
His uncle Terrell saw potential in him and encouraged him to start running after he saw him running in the street. Just like any other career, Bromell has encountered a lot of challenges while growing up.

Career
Early Career
Bromell began his career when he was a young boy, however, his professional journey began in 2013 while he was in high school. In his first professional race, he competed for Gibbs High School in St. Petersburg Florida.
In May 2013, he participated in the New Balance National Outdoor, competing for the 100m and 200m races. In the 100m, he did excellently winning the preliminary in 10.31s, he also won the finals with 10.45s.
After New Balance Outdoor, he headed to the USA Junior Outdoor Track & Fiel Championships. At the competition, he participated in 100m and 200m races, he went ahead and won the semis in the 100m with 10.56s and also won the finals with 10.48s. However, in 200m he only participated in semis and he was disqualified in the finals after he stepped out of line.
Despite up and downs the year was still his as he was named as the Gatorade Track and Field Athlete of the Year for 2013. He also qualified to represent the United States in the 100m and the 4 * 100 m relay at the international championship in 2013.
In August 2013, he got a chance to participate in the Pan American Junior Championships in Medellin Columbia. He competed in the 100m and 4*100m relay.
In the competition, he placed third in the 100m and raised the American flag in the 4*100m relay placing first. Bromell received a medal for the 100m and gold for the 4*100 m race earning his first international gold medal.
Senior Career
In 2014, he made history after receiving the 2014 Texas Relay Most Outstanding Performer. This was after coming 01 of the record with a 10.02 while representing Baylor University. It was a great achievement for him since the last time a Baylor won the award was 24 years ago.
On June 13th, 2014 he participated in the NCAA Men’s Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon. During the semi, he ran 9.92, however, the result never entered the record book since it was ruled wind-assisted.
Bromel went on to win the NCAA Outdoor Championship in the 100m race becoming the first freshman to win NCAA Outdoor Championships. In 2015, he went back to Eugene to participate in the 2015 NCAA Outdoor Championship.
This time around he improved his personal best time to 9.90s in the preliminary round of the 100m. He won the finals with his personal best time of 9.84s placing him the 10th fastest runner of all time alongside Canadian legend Donovan Bailey and Bruny Surin.
2015 to 2021
2015 was his year as he made his debut to the Diamond League at the Herculis in Morocco. As usual, he was participating in the 100m and 4*100m relay, however, he was disqualified from the 100m race due to a false start.
Despite being disqualified in the 100m race, he still raised the American flag high after winning the 4*100m relay. In August 2014, he represented the US in the World Championships which were held in Beijing.
During the World Championship, Bromell won the semi in the 100m race setting a 9.91s thus qualifying for the finals. In the finals, he made a tie with Canadian Athlete, Andre De Grasse both running a personal best time of 9.92s. The race was somehow unique since it was the first tie in the history of World Champion.
In 2016, he made another history during the 2016 Summer Olympics by defeating the world fasted man and the defending Olympic Champion, Usain Bolt of Jamaica. From 2017 to 2021, Bromell has achieved a lot as an athlete, he has broken many records and won many races.
However, despite being successful in many races in the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo unable to make it to the finals after placing third in the 100m race. On September 18th he participated at Kip Keino Classic which was held in Kenya Nairobi placing first beating his own record.
